Macaroni Au Gratin, Without The Macaroni |

Add pasta separately - about 200g per 1/8th slice of this pan of macaroni. Use dry kidney beans that you soak overnight and boil yourself, for low, low sodium. Ingredients:
312 ml tomato paste |
1.08 kg italian tomatoes, seeded and peeled |
444 g kidney beans |
100 g leeks |
1/2 tbsp. olive oil |
4 cloves garlic |
300 g cheddar cheese |
1 tsp. sugar |
Directions:
1. Brown leeks (replaces onions) in olive oil 2. Brown leeks 3. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, kidney beans 4. Add seasonings (basil, oregano, parsley, bay leaves, pepper, sugar, chili sauce) 5. Bring just to a boil and then reduce to simmer 6. Simmer for an hour or two |
