Macaroni and Tomato Casserole |

A different take on macaroni and cheese. A great side dish for any meal. Ingredients:
2 lbs browned lean ground beef |
1 cup chopped onion |
1 1/2 cups water |
1 -2 clove minced garlic |
1/4 cup chopped green pepper |
2 (1 lb) cans chopped tomatoes |
1 cup reduced-sodium tomato juice |
salt and pepper |
2 cups uncooked macaroni |
Directions:
1. Brown the ground beef, onion, green pepper,garlic to gether in medium fry pan;drain. 2. Combine tomatoes, tomato juice and ground beef mixture. 3. Mix well. 4. Stir in the seasonings. 5. Mix well. 6. Pour beef mixture into your slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. 7. Stir in uncooked macaroni two to three additional hours. |
