I love macaroni and cheese. This is comfort food. Ingredients:
1/2 pound macaroni, cooked according to directions |
1 cup shredded cheese (your choice-i love sharp cheddar) |
2 tbsp butter |
2 tbsp flour |
2 cups milk |
2 tbsp butter |
1/2 sleeve crackers |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. cook macaroni according to directions. Drain well and place in 2 quart casserole dish. 3. In saucepan, melt butter. Add flour stir until combined. Add milk, stir until thickened. Add cheese. Stir. Heat until cheese is melted. 4. Pour over macaroni, stir. 5. In same saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter. Heat until browned. Crush crackers finely. Add to melted butter. Stir. Pour on top of macaroni and cheese. 6. Cook for 30 minutes, cheese will be very bubbly. |
