Ingredients:
Directions:
1. Fill a large saucepan with 1 qt of water for each cup of dried pasta. (The pan should be more than 2/3 full of water.) Bring the water to a boil, then add 1/2 tsp. of salt. When the water boils again, add the dried pasta. Stir it with a wooden spoon to keep it from clumping or sticking to the pan & return the water to a boil. Cook for 9-1/2 minutes, until it's barely tender, or according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta, shaking it to remove excess water, & pour the noodles into a large bowl. Add 1 tbsp. of butter or oil, & stir to keep the noodles from clumping. Set aside for use later. 2. You can also use leftover cooked pasta in these dishes. To shorten the baking time, heat it slightly in the microwave or rinse it under hot water in a colander. |
