Recipe courtesy Driscoll's for Guests a Historical Inn in the US. Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups cake flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
3 egg yolks |
1 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted |
3 egg whites |
5 ounces macadamia nuts, finely chopped |
Directions:
1. Combine the cake flour, baking powder and salt. Add the egg yolks and milk; beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Blend in the vanilla. Pour in the butter, mixing well. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff and fold gently into the batter. Add the nuts. Bake in a hot waffle iron. |
