Yummy-adult flavored mac and cheese. Sometimes, you just gotta have it.
Ingredients:
12 ounces uncooked quinoa elbow macaroni
6 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons flour
1 tsp salt
2 cups non fat milk, warmed
1/2 cup romano cheese
1 dash nutmeg
Directions:
1. Cook macaroni as directed, drain and cover to keep warm.
2. Melt butter in a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and salt, cooking for 2 minutes. Gradually stir in milk whisking to prevent lumps.
3. Remove from heat, stir in cheese and nutmeg. Toss sauce with pasta and serve.
