Ingredients:
1 cup(s) shortening (2 sticks margarine) softened |
1 cup(s) firmly packed brown sugar |
1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar |
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
2 eggs |
2 1/4 cup(s) sifted flour |
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda |
1 teaspoon(s) salt |
Directions:
1. Blend with electric beater, shortening, brown sugar and gran. sugar.
2. Beat in 2 teas. vanilla and 2 eggs.
3. In another bowl blend flour, baking soda and salt.
4. Add dry ingredients gradually to sugar-egg mixture.
5. Stir in 3/4 cup of milk chocolate M & M's (Christmas color).
6. Save remaining M & M's for decorating.
7. Drop teaspoon full of cookie dough 2 in. apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
8. Decorate tops with additional M & M's (usually 2 or 3)
9. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Remove with spatula and place on cooling racks.
