Great for the cold winter days. You can make this sweet/spicy chili as hot as you like! It is a nice change from traditional chilli! Serve with biscuits or your favorite cornbread recipe.
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef or turkey
1 green pepper, chopped
1 red or yellow pepper, chopped
1 can (4-5 oz.) diced jalepeno peppers, drained
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (15 oz.) pinto beans, drained
1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 can (20 oz.) pineapple chunks, drained
1 can or bottle (12 oz.) dark beer (or whatever you have in the fridge!)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1-2 tablespoons chili powder (according to your taste)
2 teaspoons cumin
1-2 teaspoons tabasco sauce (according to your heat index )
1 -2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (according to your heat index )
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and rain excess fat. Add peppers, jalapeno peppers and garlic. Cook for approximately 4 minutes or until peppers are translucent. Add all remaining ingredients. Smmer for at least 1 hour.
