I found this in a cookbook and it was from my Aunt Lynda. It is the best banana bread I have ever found. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup shortening (i use margarine) |
3 ripe bananas |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon baking soda (i use baking powder) |
2 eggs, beaten |
2 cups flour |
1/2 cup nuts (i use pecans chopped very fine) |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together. I use a food processor. 2. Place in a loaf pan. 3. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. |
