I love this recipe because it's not too bready as some breakfast casseroles are. A co-worker made this for a function and I fell in love with it and asked her for her recipe. I've used this for a base recipe and added some sauted veggies and changed cheeses on occasion but I've always kept the same basic ingredients. Ingredients:
6 eggs |
2 cups milk |
1 cup cheese, shredded |
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 pieces bread, broken up |
1 lb pork sausage |
Directions:
1. Cook sausage and drain. 2. Beat eggs and add the rest of the ingredients and sausage. 3. Prepare the night before. 4. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. |
