I just loooveee lychees...who doesn't?:)=this is an awesome recipe i found on the net,i made my own modifications..and this is just incredible!!:) Ingredients:
1 kg of lychees, deseeded(or canned) |
for the base |
250 gms flour |
125 gms caster sugar |
150 gms butter |
4 egg yolks beaten |
a pinch of salt. |
filling |
450 gms cream cheese |
8 lychees |
2 tablespoons caster sugar |
2 egg yolks |
200 gms fresh cream |
1tsp cardamoms powder. |
1/4 tsp of vanilla essence |
Directions:
1. Make a dough out of the base ingredients,adding them one by one,and line the tart dish with this dough. 2. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 7 minutes till lightly brown. Remove and cool. 3. Blend the cheese and the lychees into a smooth paste. 4. Add the sugar and egg yolks and whip again till smooth. Stir in the cream ,cardamom powder,vanilla essence. Pour into prepared tart base. 5. Bake in preheated oven at 150 C for 40 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool, then, place the lychees on top of the tart . 6. refrigerate for a couple of hours or more,serve cold! |
