Luscious Pineapple Squares |

This is a very simple cake that is so moist, nutty and full of flavor Ingredients:
2 eggs |
2 cups sugar |
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, undrained |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 tsp. baking soda |
1 tsp. vanilla extract |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
frosting |
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened |
1 stick butter, softened |
1 3/4 cups confectioner's sugar |
1 tsp. vanilla |
1/2 cups chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Mix eggs, sugar, pineapple, flour, baking soda and vanilla together. 3. Stir in nuts. 4. Pour into 9 x 13 baking dish sprayed with non-stick spray. 5. Bake 25 minutes. 6. Cool. 7. Frosting 8. Mix cream cheese, butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla until creamy. 9. Spread over cooled cake. 10. Sprinkle with nuts. 11. Nuts can be mixed into icing before applying to cake. |
