LUSCIOUS LEMON TORTE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Boyd Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1987. Ingredients:
1 package lemon pudding mix |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1 angel food cake |
1 cup heavy cream |
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar |
3 tablespoons grated lemon rind |
Directions:
1. Combine pudding mix and milk then cook until mixture boils. 2. Cool slightly then stir in sour cream. 3. Chill thoroughly then split cake in 3 layers then spread chocolate mixture between layers. 4. Cover top and sides of cake with whipped cream sweetened with confectioners sugar. 5. Garnish with lemon rind. |
