This is an apple crisp recipe from the nice lady who lived next door to me when I grew up. Her name was Luella, but I called her Lulu. I've never found an apple crisp recipe that I like better! Everyone that tastes it, raves about it. She always sprinkled the apples with sugar, but I like them tart, so I don't sprinkle any sugar on them. She also peeled the apples, but I don't peel them, and it tastes great, and saves time! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 1/2 cups brown sugar |
3/4 cup butter, melted |
4 cups apples, sliced |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Place sliced apples in a 13 x 9 cake pan and sprinkle with cinnamon. 3. Bake apples for 20 minutes. 4. While apples are baking, mix the rest of the ingredients. 5. Crumble mixture on top of cooked apples and bake for 40 minutes longer. |
