This stew is known as 'lucky' stew because you can make it stretch. If more people come, you can add more water and it becomes a soup. It tastes good and is economical! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef, chunked |
6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed |
1/2 lb carrot, sliced (i use baby carrots) |
6 cups water |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Cube ground beef. 2. Peel and cube potatoes. 3. Slice carrots. 4. Put in dutch oven. 5. Cook on medium until beef is done and potatoes are fork-tender. |
