My family really likes the Bisquick Chicken so I figured this was a great way to get them to try fish. The kids LOVED it. My very picky 9 yr old had 3 helpings. Ingredients:
3 tablespoons of butter or margerine |
1 cup low fat bisquick |
1 pound of tilapia filets ( i cut mine in half) |
3 tablespoons of old bay seasoning |
garlic powder |
ground pepper |
1/2 cup of milk |
1 egg. |
Directions:
1. Put the butter/margerine on a baking dish put it in the oven while its pre-heating until it is melted. 2. mix egg, milk, garlic powder, and pepper in a bowl and put tilapia in 3. I let it soak in for about 10 minutes. 4. In a bag combine Bisquick and Old Bay. 5. toss one filet at a time in the bag to coat. 6. place on warm pan with melted butter 7. cook on 400 for about 20-30 minutes turning half way through. (the trick is not to lose your coating- I kept the excess and sprinkled a little on after the flip) |
