Lower Fat Cream Sauce for Pasta |

I LOVE cream sauces, however, they don't love me. I came up with this sauce to help trim the fat from some of my favorite recipes. It's simple, quick to prepare and tastes great! Enjoy! Ingredients:
4 ounces low-fat cream cheese |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/3 cup fat-free half-and-half |
Directions:
1. Soften cream cheese in your microwave on 50% power for approximately 1 minute in a medium sized bowl. 2. Stir cream cheese until smooth. 3. Add garlic powder and parmesan cheese. 4. Add FF half and half until thinned to a good consistency for pouring over pasta. I guessed at the amount I used since I do not measure things when I am cooking. 5. Pour over your favorite pasta and enjoy! |
