This is really good and easy to make....Also a good source of FIBER!!! Ingredients:
2 cups flour (i use wheat) |
3/4 cup wheat germ |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
2 eggs |
1 cup 2% low-fat milk |
2/3 cup cooking grade maple syrup |
1/4 cup oil |
Directions:
1. Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan. 2. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 3. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, wheat germ, baking powder and baking soda. 4. In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, milk, syrup and oil. 5. Combine the dry and liquid ingredients, mixing well. 6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. 7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center of a loaf comes out dry. |
