Low fat scone Ingredients:
2 cups wheat flour |
1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup white sugar |
3 tablespoons applesauce |
2 tablespoons water |
1/2 cup soy milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease two baking sheets. 2. In a large bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt and sugar. Add the applesauce, water and milk; mix well. 3. Drop large rounded spoonfuls of batter onto prepared baking sheets. 4. Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Let cool before serving. |
