I saw this the other day on the Biggest Loser but I have my own twist to it and it is amazing! Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground turkey |
1/4 cup diced red onion |
garlic powder |
pepper |
8 large portabella mushrooms |
4 large piece lettuce |
4 table spoons miracle whip light |
4 tomatoes, slices |
4 teaspoons mustard |
4 slices cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. In a medium mixing bowl mix in the ground turkey, diced red onion, garlic powder, and pepper. Hand mix until well blended. Seperate into equal burgers. Grill the burgers to your liking. Take the stems off the porabella mushrooms and clean good. Lighly spray with pam or another non-stick cooking spray and place on the grill for 3-5 minutes (or bake). Place a burger on a mushroom cap, top with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoe slice, light miracle whip, mustard, and lastly place the other mushroom cap on top. The portabella mushrooms replace the bun. Enjoy! |
