From the Today Show Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground chicken |
1 cup mushrooms, sliced |
1 cup green pepper, diced |
1 cup onion, diced |
26 oz marinara sauce |
15 oz part-skim ricotta cheese |
2 egg whites |
1/2 tsp pepper |
4 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese |
8 oz lasagna noodles |
1/2 tbsp sugar |
3 cloves garlic |
1 tbsp italian seasoning |
1/4 tsp red pepper |
1 tsp mexican oregano |
1/2 tbsp worcestershire sauce |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 375 2. In large pot brown ground chicken. 3. Add all veggies and cook until onions are translucent. 4. Add sauce, sugar, 1/2 tbsp Italian Seasoning, Red Pepper, Oregano, worcestershire sauce, bring to a boil and then simmer uncovered 10 minutes. 5. Meanwhile mix ricotta cheese with the egg whites, pepper and the remaining 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning. 6. Sray a 13x9x2 pan w/ no stick cooking spray. 7. Layer Noodles Cheeses and Sauce as you would lasagna. 8. Bake covered w/ foil for 30 minutes. 9. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly. 10. Let Stand for 10 minutes before serving. |
