From Core Performance. butter, garlic cloves, all-purpose flour, 1% milk, fresh Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, lite cream cheese, salt, fettuccine, parsley, salt & pepper cvt Ingredients:
1 tbsp butter |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 tbsp all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 cups 1% milk |
6 oz (grated fresh) parmigiano reggiano cheese |
2 tbsp lite cream cheese |
1/2 tsp salt |
8 oz uncooked fettuccine or whole wheat fettuccine |
2 tsp chopped parsley |
1 salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Prepare fettuccine according to package instructions. 2. While fettuccine cooks, melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook about 30 seconds. Stir in flour to blend. Gradually add milk, stirring with a whisk. Cook approximately 5 minutes or until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Add 1 cup grated cheese, cream cheese and 1/2 tsp salt. Stir with a whisk until cheese melts. Toss sauce with hot pasta. Portion onto 4 plates. Sprinkle with remaining grated cheese and chopped parsley. |
