Ingredients:
1/4 cup margarine, softened |
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed |
1 1/2 cups buttermilk |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 tablespoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 1/2 cups apples, cored and finely chopped (about 2 medium apples) |
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
2 tablespoons nuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, combine margarine and sugar using electric mixer. 2. Beat in buttermilk . 3. Add flours, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and apples and mix to combine. Spread evenly in lightly-greased Bundt pan or 8- or 9-inch-square baking pan. 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. |
