Creamy and soothing with just a hint of cinnamon. Check it out and you will find that it is actually healthy for you. Another great Andrew Weil,MD recipe. (UPDATE-2006) It has been pointed out that this recipe does not live up to its name.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons cocoa powder (i like dutch cocoa)
2 tablespoons sugar (splenda changes the taste)
4 tablespoons filtered water
12 ounces 1% low-fat milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 pinch cinnamon
Directions:
1. Mix cocoa & sugar together in saucepan.
2. Add water. Stir well.
3. Cook over med. heat until mixture comes to a boil and the sugar is dissolved.
4. Stir in milk, extracts and cinnamon.
5. Reduce heat to low & stir until warmed through.
6. Sit back, wrap your hands around the warm cup and enjoy.
