My husband likes a hearty chili with some cornbread. I have to watch what I use due to my diet. When I told him that it was low carb he freaked, and didnt think it was going to taste the same. He ate it and said He didn't notice a differance. Ingredients:
2 lbs of ground beef |
1 quart of water |
1 tspn of worcestershire sauce |
1 chopped onion |
1 tspn of cumin |
2 tspn of salt |
2 mashed cloves garlic |
1 tspn of cinnamon |
1/2 tspn of red peppers |
1 tspn of black pepper |
2 tbspn of chili powder |
1 (6 oz) can of tomato paste |
3 bay leaves |
1 (4 oz) can of mushrooms (drained) |
1/2 tspn allspice |
3/4 cup chopped green peppers |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet your going to want to brown the meat and drain the fat. 2. Then get your stew pot or something like that and add everything else and allow that to simmer for about 3 hours. |
