Low Carb Breadmaker Bread |

This bread is dark coloured with a light, moist & porous texture. Wonderful for those on low-carb diets & a great start to the day topped with a poached egg. Ingredients:
3/4 cup water |
1 tablespoon of olive or rice bran oil |
1 cup wheat gluten |
1/2 cup soy/soya flour |
1/2 cup oat bran |
1 teaspoon white sugar |
2 teaspoons breadmakers yeast |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in the breadmaker in the order preferred by the manufacturer. 2. Cook on the white bread setting with light crust if you have options for level of 'goldenness'. 3. Even though you want low-carb bread it is still important to use real sugar as the yeast feeds off it. 4. Variations: - Instead of the wheat bran you could try ground flax seeds or chia. 5. - You could also add a pinch of saffron for a different flavour. |
