Low Calorie Lemon Berry Scone |

Yummy low calorie scones Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup splenda granular, sugar substitute |
1/2 cup light butter |
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract |
1/4 cup egg substitute |
1/2 cup 1% low-fat milk |
1 cup fresh strawberries (whole) or 1 cup blueberries (whole) |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375°F. 2. Mix the 2 cups flour, 4 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt and, 1/4 cup Splenda in a mixing bowl. 3. Add lemon substitute. 4. Add egg and milk and work it into the other ingredients gently yet at a speedy pace with hands. 5. Add berries and gently fold. 6. Pat or roll dough to desired shape (7-10 pieces). 7. Brush with milk and sprinkle with Splenda if desired. 8. Bake 10-18 minutes or until lightly brown. 9. DO NOT OVER BAKE! |
