Ingredients:
8 strip(s) bacon diced |
2 onions |
1 cup(s) brown sugar |
1/2 cup(s) cider vinegar |
1 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 teaspoon(s) ground mustard |
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder |
28 ounce(s) baked beans |
16 ounce(s) kidney beans drained, rinsed |
15 1/2 ounce(s) pinto beans drained, rinsed |
15 1/2 ounce(s) black eyed peas drained, rinsed |
15 ounce(s) lima beans drained, rinsed |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon in skillet until crisp. Remove to paper towels. 2. Drain, reserving 2 Tbsp drippings. 3. Saute onions in drippings until tender. 4. Add brown sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard, and garlic powder to skillet. Bring to boil. 5. Combine beans and peas in slow cooker. Add onion mixture and bacon. Mix well. 6. Cover. Cook on high 3-4 hours. Another variation: Add ground beef. |
