This recipe comes from a Texas cookbook. This is much easier and quicker than traditional french toast. Ingredients:
4 slices honey whole wheat bread, cubed |
4 ounces cream cheese, cubed |
4 eggs |
1 cup milk |
1/2 cup maple syrup |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Spray an 8x8x2 inch baking dish with cooking spray. 2. Spread bread cubes evenly in pan and place cream cheese on top. 3. Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over bread cubes and cream cheese. 4. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. |
