YUMMMMMMMYYYYYY!!!!! Ingredients:
5 dried chinese mushrooms |
warm water (to cover) |
1 cup water |
1 pinch sugar |
2 turnips (peeled, shredded) |
1 tablespoon canola oil |
3 dried chinese sausage (chopped) |
1 cup dried shrimp |
1 small shallot (sliced thin) |
salt & fresh ground pepper (to taste) |
1/2 lb rice flour |
1 tablespoon canola oil |
1 garlic clove (minced) |
1 thai chile (seeded, minced) |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 drop sesame oil |
1 pinch sugar |
Directions:
1. Soak mushrooms in warm water for 20 minutes. Drain. Rinse. Squeeze dry. Chop. 2. Bring the water and sugar to a boil. 3. Add turnips. Simmer 5 minutes. Set aside. 4. Heat oil in a skillet. 5. Add sausage, shrimp and shallots. Saute 5 minutes. Season. 6. Stir in mushrooms, turnips and flour. Mix well. 7. Pour into a sprayed 9 inch cake pan. 8. Steam 50 minutes. 9. Let cool. Cover. Chill 1 hour. 10. Bring back to room temperature. Slice. 11. Heat oil in a skillet. Fry slices until golden. 12. Combine the garlic, chili, soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar. Serve with slices. |
