Good little meal.
Ingredients:
canola oil (as needed)
1 lb beef sirloin (in very this strips)
1/2 teaspoon ginger (grated)
6 shallots (minced)
1/4 cup lime juice
2 tablespoons nuoc nam
1/2 cup rice (toasted, ground)
2 green onions (minced)
15 leaves cilantro (chopped)
15 leaves basil (chopped)
15 leaves mint (chopped)
1 thai chile (minced)
1/4 cup dry roasted peanuts (chopped)
1 leaf lettuce (separated)
Directions:
1. Rub a wok with a little oil.
2. Heat until very hot.
3. Add beef. Sear 1-2 minutes.
4. Stir in the ginger and shallots. Cook 30 seconds.
5. Stir in lime juice, nuoc nam and rice.
6. Arrange meat mix and the rest decoratively on a platter.
7. Let each person make rolls with a lettuce leaf and fillings.
