Fabulous! Very flavorful and tantalizing... Can serve with rice or steamed, sprouts and spinach, etc... Ingredients:
3 lbs boneless pork loin roast |
4 cups water |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
2 slices ginger |
4 star anise |
1/4 cup miso |
1/4 cup sriracha sauce |
3 tablespoons sake |
1 1/2 tablespoons rice vinegar |
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar |
6 tablespoons sesame oil |
8 garlic cloves (minced) |
2 tablespoons gingerroot (grated) |
2 large onions (julienned) |
2 cups red bell peppers (julienned) |
Directions:
1. Place roast in a dutch oven. 2. Add the water, soy sauce, ginger and anise. 3. Bring to a boil. Reduce. Simmer 1 hour, turning frequently. 4. Remove from heat. Let pork cool in liquid. 5. Drain. Chunk. Set aside. 6. Combine the miso, sriracha, sake, rice vinegar and sugar. Set aside. 7. Heat oil in a wok. 8. Add garlic and ginger. Stir-fry 30 seconds. 9. Add pork and onions. Stir-fry 1 minute. 10. Add peppers. Stir-fry 1 minute. 11. Add sauce. Stir-fry 1 minute. |
