A small batch for a small pan (but big appetites)! Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup butter |
1 tablespoon water |
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate (chopped) |
1 egg (beaten) |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3/4 cup flour |
1/8 teaspoon baking soda |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. 2. Grease a 8 1/2 x 7-inch pan. 3. In a small bowl, sift the flour; baking soda and salt- set aside. 4. In a small saucepan, heat the sugar; butter and water over medium heat until just starting to boil while stirring constantly. 5. Add the chocolate, stir until chocolate is melted. 6. Turn off the heat. Add the egg and vanilla while stirring- mix well. 7. Add the flour; baking soda and salt and mix well. 8. Pour into the baking pan and bake for about 12-15 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out slightly sticky. |
