This recipe is from the La Leche League International Cookbook. I always have this in the frige for whipping up fabulous biscuits. Look for recipes to use this mix by searching for LLL Baking Mix . If your concerned about a milk allergy leave out the milk powder. Recipe may be doubled. Ingredients:
8 cups flour (white, whole wheat, whole wheat pastry or cornell mix) |
5 tablespoons baking powder |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 cup powdered milk |
1 1/2 cups oil or 1 1/2 cups butter or 1 1/2 cups fat |
1/2 cup nutritional yeast (optional) |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients. 2. Cut in oil or butter with fingers to make fine crumbs. 3. Store in a tightly covered container in refrigerator. |
