Slight twist on the traditional Nestle Toll house Chocolate Chip Cookie, which I discovered from my friend Liz :) Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 tsp baking soda |
1 tsp salt |
1 cup butter (melted) |
3/4 cup sugar |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract |
1/4 tsp almond extract |
2 large eggs |
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips |
8 oz butterscotch morsels |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Combine flour, baking soda, & salt in small bowl. 3. Combine eggs and butter (I actually like to melt the butter completely). Then add both sugars and finally vanilla & almond extracts until completely dissolved. 4. Gradually beat in flour mixture. 5. Stir in chocolate and butterscotch chips. 6. Measure out cookies by the tablespoon onto prepped cookie sheets (I like to used parchment paper; greasing the pans isn't necessary) 7. Bake until the cookies have browned nicely on the bottom but aren't completely set in the middle. They will finish cooking as the cool on the cooling rack and they'll stay nice and chewy :) |
