Adapted from Morey Amsterdam's Benny Cooker Crock Book. Although the title comes from a joke from Amsterdam's night club act, the recipes are all genuine. Ingredients:
8 ounces liverwurst |
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped |
1 dash hot sauce |
1 onion, finely chopped |
burgundy wine, as needed |
48 rye wafers |
Directions:
1. Combine liverwurst, pepper, hot sauce and onion.
2. Mix in wine until mixture is the consistency of a spread.
3. Spread on rye wafers.
