I guess you all can tell, I like livers,LOL. This spread has a great taste! Ingredients:
1 lb. chicken livers, chopped |
1 onion, minced |
margarine |
olive oil |
marsala. ( optional) |
salt and pepper to taste |
1 tablespoon fresh sage, finely chopped |
lemon juice to taste |
fried bread rounds |
Directions:
1. Saute chicken livers with the onions in a small amount of olive oil and margarine. 2. Flavor to taste with lemnon juice., marsala, salt and pepper. 3. Add finely chopped sage. 4. Spread mixture on bread rounds and serve. 5. FOR THE BREAD...... 6. Use a round loaf of french or italian bread, thinly sliced. 7. Fry until brown in mixture of margarine and olive oil. 8. Drain on paper towels. |
