I discovered this in Japan. It looks really good sliced up. I don't know the exact ingredients as I am writing the recipe while I look at the pictures of how it's made. it was brought to my attention by someone here at the Zaar that they're called Scotch eggs,so I updated the title. Ingredients:
250 g ground meat |
4 hard-boiled eggs |
1 finely chopped onion |
1 egg |
2 tablespoons flour |
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs |
salt |
pepper |
oil (for frying) |
Directions:
1. Fry the onion. 2. Add it to the ground meat and season with salt and pepper. 3. Take a quarter of this mixture and wrap it around a shelled hard boiled egg. 4. Roll in the flour,dip in the beaten egg and roll again in the breadcrumbs. 5. Deep fry. 6. When cold slice it up in half or quarters. |
