LITTLE PIZZAS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ravech Estate in Pilot Point, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
2 loaves cocktail or party rye bread |
1 pound hot pork sausage |
1 pound lean ground beef |
1 small white onion chopped |
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese |
1 pound process cheese shredded |
3 teaspoons oregano |
1 small can tomato sauce |
Directions:
1. Brown meat and onion then drain well and add shredded process cheese until melted. 2. Spread mixture on rye bread then put 1 teaspoon tomato sauce on top. 3. Mix mozzarella cheese and oregano then sprinkle on top of tomato sauce. 4. Bake at 250 for 15 minutes then serve immediately. |
