translated fro a German recipe group. These are not really 100%cakelike , more dessert like with a chocolate outer crust and a runny liquid chocoate sauce. Perfect for a fancy modern dessert. . And one can prepare these ahead of time Ingredients:
100 g butter |
80 g - sugar |
2 fresh eggs |
2 egg yolks |
80 g flour |
90 g of 70%, bittersweet chocolate |
butter to grease the forms |
Directions:
1. Melt chocolate by your favorite method 2. Butter 5 or 6 small individual baking forms( ramekins ) 3. Cream butter and sugar 4. Blend in the yolks and the whole eggs. 5. Sift and mix in the flour 6. Lastly blend in the melted chocolate 7. Fill buttered forms 2/3 full 8. Place forms in refrigerator and chill extremely well 9. When ready to bake: 10. Bake at 180C ( 350 F ) convection oven for about 18 minutes 11. Losen cakes with a tip of sharp knife, and let cakes fall onto the plate, and it's okay they break open! 12. Serve immediately with it's warm choclate liquid filling 13. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped if desired |
