Notes: This recipe has no known beginning. My wife began using it over thirty years ago and we can't remember where it got started. Quick, easy, delicious. The order of topping is important. The lemon rind needs to be removed without removing the sweet, baked onion that is underneath it on each chop Ingredients:
4 large pork chop, sliced 1 thick |
4 slices large sweet onion, sliced 1/4-inch thick |
4 slices lemon, sliced 1/4 thick |
4 tablespoons barbecue sauce or ketchup |
8 tablespoons brown sugar |
Directions:
1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. 2. Coat baking dish, large enough to hold the chops in a sigle layer, with non stick cooking spray. 3. 3. Place chops in dish, top each in this order. Slice of onion, slice of lemon, tbsp of barbeque sauce or ketchup, two tablespoons of brown sugar.. See Photo 4. 4. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for an hour. 5. 5. Remove from oven, carefully pick the lemon rind off of each chop. Serve immediately. |
