1 lb linguine |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 large garlic cloves, chopped |
1/4-1/2 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes |
0.5 (1 ounce) can flat anchovy, drained, reserve the oil, chopped |
2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans chopped clams, drained with juices reserved |
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, no-salt added |
1 (2 1/4 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained |
1/2 cup white wine 1 cup thinly sliced green onion |
1/3 cup chopped fresh basil |
Directions:
1. Cook linguine according to package directions. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and stir in the pan for 30 seconds. Add pepper flakes, anchovies, reserved clam juice, tomatoes, olives and wine. 2. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Add clams, anchovy oil, green onions and basil. Simmer for 1 minute, or until heated through. Drain pasta and toss with the sauce. Serve immediately. |
