An awesome recipe that sneaks veggies in :o). I could eat it once a week, and everyone always asks for the recipe. The best thing is, it uses mainly canned tomatoes and a jar of sauce, so its easy..kids love it, don't know it has veggies in it! Ingredients:
1 onion, finely shredded (in food processor) |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
2 carrots, finely shredded |
1 zucchini, finely shredded |
2 tablespoons grapeseed oil |
1/2 lb ground turkey (antibiotic and hormone free) |
1/2 lb ground sausage |
1 (25 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce |
28 ounces tomatoes, diced |
1 (10 ounce) can rotel, drained |
8 ounces angel hair pasta |
Directions:
1. Heat oil, saute onions with garlic for a few minutes. Brown turkey and sausage, then add remainder of ingredients. Bring to a boil, then simmer as long as you want to! 2. Boil noodles al dente. |
