I attribute the name of this slaw to my wife since she makes this all the time but she actually lifted the recipe from her mother - it's an old recipe in their family. It tastes great and it's really easy to make with what you have on hand. We often put it on Sloppy Joes but this coleslaw makes for a good covered dish as well. Ingredients:
1/2 head cabbage, shredded |
2 large carrots, peeled and shredded |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
1/4 cup cider vinegar |
1/4 cup sugar |
salt and pepper (to taste) |
Directions:
1. Blend and refrigerate for 2 hours. 2. Re-stir before serving. |
