These cookies melt in your mouth. Best roll out and cut cookies I've eaten. Chilling time is in the prep time. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups butter |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg, well-beaten |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
4 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 cup powdered sugar, sifted |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/2 tablespoons whole milk |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar. 2. Add egg and vanilla & beat well. 3. Sift flour and baking powder together and mix inches. 4. Refrigerate 2-3 hours. 5. Roll out to 1/4 inch. Cut out. 6. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees. 7. Ice with Easy cream icing. 8. Dough can be kept in the fridge for several days. Or freeze and thaw out later. |
