Limonada is a refreshing wine beverage popular in the Basque region of Spain. From Classical International Recipes. Cooking time is chilling time. Ingredients:
3 -4 lemons |
2 cups dry red wine |
2 cups dry white wine |
1/3 cup sugar |
ice cube |
Directions:
1. Thinly peel seven 6 inch long strips of lemon peel to make spirals. Set aside. 2. Squeeze lemons to measure about 1 cup juice. Stir together lemon juice, red wine, white wine, and sugar. 3. Chill the mixture thoroughly. To serve, pour over ice cubes in glasses, garnish with a lemon sprial. |
