This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Marcus Estate in Greenville, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1 cup granulated sugar |
2 eggs |
3 cups sifted all purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
6 ounce can frozen limeade concentrate |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar then add eggs and beat until fluffy. 2. Sift flour and soda then add alternately to creamed mixture with l/2 cup limeade. 3. Drop dough from teaspoonfuls 2 apart onto greased cookie sheets. 4. Bake cookies at 400 degrees 8 minutes or until lightly browned around edges. 5. Brush hot cookies lightly with remaining limeade concentrate. 6. Sprinkle with sugar then remove to cooling racks. |
