These basic directions can be used anytime you want to steam fish. Replace the lime with a lemon and use the fish fillet or steak of your choice. Ingredients:
1 lime, juice of |
1/4 cup shallot, minced |
fresh ground black pepper |
4 fish fillets |
Directions:
1. Arrange fillets on a steamer rack over boiling water. 2. Squeeze the lime juice over them, and top with shallots and black pepper. 3. Cover and steam for about 5 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork. 4. Per serving: 124 calories, 66 mg. cholesterol, 0.5 g dietary fiber, 2 g. fat, 155 mg. sodium. |
