Ingredients:
3 whole cloves |
1 teaspoon to 2 teaspoons dried oregano |
1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick |
4 (32-ounce) containers chicken broth |
1/2 to 2/3 cup fresh lime juice |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
toppings: diced cooked chicken, diced avocado, lime slices, fried tortilla strips, shredded monterey jack cheese |
Directions:
1. Cook first 3 ingredients in a large stockpot over medium-high heat 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add broth, lime juice, and salt. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 1 to 2 minutes. Serve with desired toppings. |
