This refreshing beverage is fashioned after the mojito, a Cuban cocktail made with rum, freshly squeezed lime juice, sprigs of mint, sugar, and club soda. If you want to serve it in the spirit of tradition, add 1 1/2 ounces of rum to each serving. Make the presentation special by rubbing the rims of martini glasses with a lime wedge and inverting the glasses onto a shallow plate of salt or sugar to coat. Serve the beverage over crushed ice in the prepared glasses with sprigs of fresh mint and lime wedges. Ingredients:
1 (1-liter) bottle sparkling water (such as perrier), chilled |
1 (6-ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, undiluted |
1/3 cup minced fresh mint |
crushed ice |
Directions:
1. Combine sparkling water, limeade, and mint in a large pitcher; stir until concentrate thaws and mixture is well blended. Serve over crushed ice. |
